Is the Christmas excitement starting to make you crazy?

Here’s a solution to wear off some of the energy of anticipation

…not to mention the sugar highs from candy canes and sugar cookies…


This year in our youth yoga class we re-created the Twelve Days of Christmas yoga version.

We made it a touch more practical than the original by using camel for the rings instead of wheel. While still super active I think you’ll find this version has a good flow… it will have you puffing and laughing by the end.

Twelve Days of Christmas Yoga Style

2 Turtle Doves – Eagle

3 Three French Hens – Stork

4 Calling Birds – Flamingo

5 Gold Rings – Camel… or wheel if you must 🙂

6 Geese a Laying – Childs pose for the egg

7 Swans a Swimming – Swan

8 Maids a Milking – Cow

9 Ladies Dancing – Dancer

10 Lords a Leaping – Donkey Kicks -or just jump…

11 Pipers Piping – Warrior 1 with piping motions

12 Drummers Drumming – Warrior 1 with Tarzan drumming
