A Canadian Mountain Retreat for Women · Oct 15–19, 2026

Coming Home to Yourself

You've built the career, raised the family, carried more than anyone ever saw. And somewhere in all that holding, a quieter voice started to ask — what about me?

  • Panorama, British Columbia

  • Four nights (Oct 15 - 19)

  • Intimate Group Experience

HAS SOMETHING IN YOU HAS GONE QUIET.

Do you wake already tired, moving through a day shaped around everyone but you?

Have you started to wonder who you are now — underneath wife, mother, the one who holds it all together?

Is there a restlessness you can't quite name… a sense that there is more, and that it has been waiting a long while?

You are not broken, and you are not behind. You have simply spent years pouring out. This is the season to be poured back into.

This isn’t about pretending to be happy or fixing what’s broken.

It’s about learning to feel—with compassion, awareness, and tools that support you physically and emotionally.

THE WOMAN WITHIN

Beneath the roles and the years

of holding everything together,

there is still a woman who

remembers what she longs for.

We made this retreat to help you find her again —

and gently bring her home.

Womans Wellness Retreat_North America

Not your usual Weekend Away

This is not a couple of yoga classes and a campfire.

It is a held container and a safe place to go within — to ask the real questions and stay long enough to hear the answers. We bring the space, the prompts, and the tools. You bring your willingness.

01 Truly in the mountains

Set in the heart of the Canadian mountains, surrounded by forest and the deep, peaceful quiet that lives in you too — not a city escape dressed up as nature.

02 Designed to go deep

Intentional conversations, real time to process, and a flow that moves you somewhere — guided by leaders who aren't afraid to ask the hard questions.

03 Ayurveda as your map

You'll learn your own nature — your dosha — and leave with simple, doable practices to keep regulating your nervous system long after you're home.

04 A community that stays

The bond you form here doesn't end on Sunday. You leave with the women, the support, and a plan to keep the momentum going.

the Journey

Four days, three movements

In Ayurveda — the science of life — wellness begins with knowing your own nature. The land knows this rhythm too. As the larches turn gold and the mountains draw inward for winter, we follow the same arc: root down, let go, and rise renewed.

Thursday evening

Arrive & Ground

Arrive as the light drops behind the peaks. We open the circle, set intentions, and create the container — choosing your card and your supporting oil, and naming what you've come to release.

Day One

Rooted

Discover who you are at your center. We meet your nature through Ayurveda, learn nervous-system tools you can actually use, and let the forest do its quiet work in a guided forest-bathing walk.

Vata Season ~ Grounding ~ Awareness

Day Two

Release

We draw on your strength to let go of the programming that no longer serves — the good-girl patterning, the inherited weight from years of looking after everyone else. Feel lighter, with room to move.

Kapha Season ~ Cleansing ~ Clean Slate

Day Three

Reclaim

Reclaim the wild within you — your gifts, your power, your own heart's direction. We move through somatic practice, dream into what's possible, and you leave with a real plan to carry it all forward.

Pitta Season ~ Creativity ~ Action

Your Guides

Held by two women who have done the work.

More than forty years, between us, of doing this work and walking others through it.

Krista Strayer - Woman's Retreat Leader

Krista Strayer

Yoga · Ayurveda · Essential Oils

Yoga teacher, recovering engineer, and lifelong nature girl, raised in the wilds of Canada — trees are her companions and nature's wisdom is a gift she loves to share. She leads the movement, the Ayurveda, and the seasonal food, with a scientific mind and a soulful heart that never apologize for each other.

Dawn Behm - Woman's Retreat Leader

Dawn Behm

self compassion · parts work · embodiment

Gentle guide, reclaimer of Self, and devoted nature-lover, most at home in the wilds of the Pacific Northwest. She weaves Self-Compassion, parts work, and embodiment (the senses, oils, movement, and sound) into circles that carry women home to themselves, with a fierce honesty and deep tenderness - the two wings that allow us to fly.

"I'm a bit of a retreat junkie — I've been on about 15, and this one was by far the best. Dawn and Krista have such informed education; it's not all woo-woo and goofing off, it's deep and it really resonates. They have this ability to pinpoint exactly what each person is feeling. I'd only just met Krista, but it was an instant connection — a really wonderful group, and having a circle of supportive women is so good."

Susan Myers · Utah Retreat, 2024

"That retreat changed my life in so many ways. Thank you for that wonderful experience — it opened something up in me."

Laura · Coastside Retreat, 2025

after the Retreat

The magic doesn't end when you drive home.

Time in the mountains cracks something open. What matters is what you do with it once you're back in your kitchen, your calendar, your real life.

Your place here includes support for the weeks that follow — to turn four days of insight into habits and beliefs that actually hold.

You'll gain access to programs from both Krista & Dawn to work on your physical health, mindset and emotional wellbeing. With weekly calls to tap into so the inner work keeps unfolding well beyond the retreat.

Good to know

A Few honest answers

How do I get there?

The closest major airport is Calgary International. Calgary usually offers more flight options, and the drive to Panorama carries you straight through the Banff and Canadian Rockies corridor. Cranbrook may also work depending on your flights. We can arrange a shuttle van from Calgary at additional cost for those arriving by early afternoon Thursday — or you're welcome to rent a car and add a day or two in Banff on either end.

Will essential oils be used?

Yes — essential oils and aromatherapy rituals are woven gently through the retreat: during yoga, self-care practices, emotional integration, and optional hands-on rituals. If you are highly scent-sensitive or prefer a fragrance-free environment, this likely isn't the right retreat for you, and that's okay.

Is alcohol part of the retreat?

This is designed as a clear, grounded, deeply restorative experience. To support the emotional work, the nervous-system reset, and the group container, we keep the retreat alcohol-free. There will be plenty of beautiful teas, elixirs, and seasonal drinks to enjoy throughout.

Honestly, I'm not sure I can step away right now.

That feeling is so familiar — it's often the very reason a woman needs this. There will always be a good reason to keep pouring out and put yourself last. The question isn't whether it's a convenient time; it's whether you're ready to be poured back into. If you're unsure, book a connection call and let's talk it through, with no pressure either way.

Words from the wise women...

an Invitation

This isn't a retreat for women who simply need a vacation.

It's for women ready for a pause that changes how they come back.
